Thank you for your commitment to pray and support this ministry as we reach into several nations in Asia. We are grateful that God has moved on many hearts to help us meet the needs of hundreds of Nepali families in desperate need because of the April 25th earthquake. Through your contributions New Life International Ministries was able to supply temporary shelters (tents and tin roofing), rice, lentils, potatoes , and clothing to those in need. We even had the police thank us for helping their people.

Something has again happened in Nepal that many might not be aware of. Because freedom of religion was announced by the Nepali government, India has stopped sending in much needed supplies (Nepal gets most of its supplies from them) which has resulted in massive shortages. A gallon of gasoline now sells for $25 and food and cooking gas are becoming more expensive and scarce. The result is that the poor of Nepal are starting to starve. It has been stated that this new humanitarian crisis will surpass the crisis of the earthquake. Would you join us in prayer for these wonderful people, and, if you can, would you send a financial gift for them? They have suffered so much already.

We are excited about a new country opening up to us, the nation of Myanmar. We are planning to go there in May/June 2016. Myanmar (formerly Burma), is a Southeast Asian nation of more than 100 ethnic groups, bordering India, Bangladesh, China, Laos and Thailand. Yangon (formerly Rangoon), the country’s largest city, is home to bustling markets, numerous parks and lakes, and the towering, gilded Shwedagon Pagoda, which contains Buddhist relics and dates to the 6th century.

If all works out we will be teaching during the day and at night doing healing and evangelism. As many of you know this country has been run by the military for many years and has recently begun to have elections and a civilian government. It also seems that things are opening up for the Gospel in this nation, so we want to make the most of the opportunity and minister as the Lord allows.

We really feel that as we go into the countries of the world that we are “Light Bringers” (Isa. 49:6 and Acts 13:47) into these places.
